The Greener Land ("we," "us," or "our") is a lifestyle and real estate brand operated by New Comer Finance Center Inc., a company registered in British Columbia, Canada. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1Who this policy applies to
This Privacy Policy applies to the website thegreenerland.com and to any communication you have with us by email, forms, or scheduled calls. By using our website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here.
2Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill in a form to request a guide, ask a question, or subscribe to updates, we collect the details you provide — typically your first name and email address, and, if you choose to write one, your message or question. When you book a Discovery Call, our scheduling partner also collects the information needed to confirm and hold your appointment (such as your name, email, and chosen time).
Information collected automatically
We use privacy-first, cookieless website analytics to understand general traffic patterns — for example, how many people visit, which pages are most read, and the country or device type in aggregate. This data does not identify you personally and is not used for advertising. Our website does not currently place tracking or advertising cookies on your device.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, our emails include a small open-tracking pixel that tells us whether an email was opened. We use this only to understand which letters are useful and to keep our subscriber list accurate; it does not track your activity outside of the email itself.
3How we use your information
- To send you the guides, resources, or information you request.
- To respond personally to your questions, in English or Spanish.
- To schedule, confirm, and follow up on Discovery Calls.
- To send occasional updates and resources only if you opt in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve our website and the clarity of our content.
We rely on your consent to collect and use your personal information, in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). You may withdraw your consent at any time.
4Service providers we work with
We use trusted third-party services to run our website and communicate with you. They process your information only as needed to provide their service:
- Formspree — receives and delivers form submissions to us.
- Cal.com — schedules and manages Discovery Call bookings.
- Cloudflare — hosts our website and provides privacy-first analytics.
- Google — provides our email (Gmail) and video calls (Google Meet).
- MailerLite — manages our newsletter subscription and sends our emails, including measuring opens through the tracking pixel described above. MailerLite acts as our data processor for this purpose.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
5Where your information is processed
Some of our service providers store or process data on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. Where this happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those countries. We choose reputable providers that apply appropriate safeguards.
6How long we keep it
We keep your personal information only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it to us, or as required by law. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
7Your rights
You have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Request that we correct or update it.
- Withdraw your consent or ask us to delete your information.
- Unsubscribe from any updates at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@thegreenerland.com and we will respond promptly.
8Cookies
Our website is built to respect your privacy and does not currently use tracking or advertising cookies. If we ever introduce cookies or tools that require them, we will update this policy and, where required by law, ask for your consent first.
9Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their province or country of residence.
10Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work with providers that use industry-standard protections.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be reflected here on this page.
